Todd and Bethany McCoy, at left, have purchased Fohn and McQueen Funeral Homes from Janice Fohn, who, along with her late husband, Jim Fohn, has operated the business since 1990.
"Please welcome Todd and Bethany Fohn to the Cassville community," Fohn said.

Janice Fohn would like the community to welcome Todd and Bethany McCoy to Cassville.
After 30 years in the funeral business and the passing of her husband, Jim Fohn, in June of 2020, Janice Fohn is opting to retire.
“I’ve searched for and have visited with a lot of funeral directors to find the right people to continue the operation of Fohn and McQueen Funeral Homes,” Fohn said. “Other staff members and I believe that Todd and Bethany McCoy will be a good fit and take care of the community and the business like family.”
Todd McCoy is a native of Carthage, who received his embalmer’s license from Kansas City Kansas Community College in Kansas City, Kansas, in 1993. While in college, he met his future wife, Bethany. The couple married in 1991 and have two adult children, Kyle and Emily, and two granddaughters.
McCoy was recently appointed to the position of deputy coroner by the Barry County Commission. He has 33 years of experience in the funeral business and has served as deputy coroner in both Baxter and Marion Counties in Arkansas and in Barton County in Missouri.
Janice Fohn says she will remain in the area, where her children and grandchildren are nearby, and will be available to answer any questions the McCoys may have when they begin operating the business this fall.
“It’s been a privilege to serve the community for the past 30 years,” she said.
