Fourth of July Celebration Dates Announced

​In honor of July 4, celebrations will be held locally all over the county. 
Arnhart Baptist Church
The Arnhart Baptist Church will be holding a fourth of July celebration on Sunday, June 26. 
The celebration will be held at the Purdy Arnhart Church. There will be music starting at 5:30 p.m. with fireworks to follow at 9 p.m. 
The Arnhart Bluegrass Fireworks will have music from the Flyin’ Buzzards, Finley River Boys, Stringed Union, and the Ozark Blend, along with food and games. Arnhart asks that all who attend bring a lawn chair.
Butterfield
The Butterfield Firefighters Auxiliary is having a summer celebration on July 1 from 6 p.m. until dark. The summer celebration will be held at the Twister Alley Raceway in Butterfield. 
With a slew of activities, you can expect live performances from the Flyin’ Buzzards starting at 6 p.m. There will be local vendors, free water and watermelon for attendees, games for kids, and fireworks starting when it gets dark. In case of rain on the first, the rescheduled date is on July second. Attendees need to bring lawn chairs. 
Purdy 
On Sunday, July 3, there will be a Purdy Picnic and Fireworks Show held at the Gathering Place in Purdy. The picnic will begin at six p.m. and the firework celebration will begin at 9:15 p.m. 
There will be live music entertainment from Kit Barley & The Creekside Bandits, as well as the FFWB Vacation Bible School kids. Bring your family and lawn chairs to come and enjoy this celebration. 
Eagle Rock
The Eagle Rock, Golden, Mano Area will have a "Fired Up and Smokin” event put on by the Eagle Rock Golden Mano Fire Department on Saturday, July 2, at 9 p.m. on Highway 86 at the Table Rock Bridge in Eagle Rock.
Shell Knob
The Shell Knob Chamber of Commerce will be holding the Shell Knob’s Fire and Thunder Fourth of July Boat Parade Celebration on Monday, July 4 with the fireworks beginning at 9 p.m. on Table Rock Lake at the Shell Knob Bridge.
The fireworks shoot site is just over half a mile east of the Shell Knob Bridge.  
If you are planning on viewing from a boat, please follow these very important guidelines, provided by the Shell Knob Chamber of Commerce. 
1. Make sure all your lights and equipment on the boat are functioning prior to leaving your dock.
2. Everyone should have a life jacket on or at least within easy grasp.
3. Try to arrive by 8pm or so.  Select a safe spot to stop and make sure you leave lights on for other vessels to see you.
4. When the display is over, proceed slowly out of the area, or wait for others to go first and allow you a less congested area.
5. Remember MO Water Patrol is present for your safety.  Citations will be issued for any violations.
Monett
The Monett Chamber of Commerce and community members will put on the annual Freedom & Fireworks celebration on Monday, July 4th with all vendors and children’s activities opening at one p.m. There will be Kerry Hays Music beginning at two p.m, The Ukeladies at three, Relic at 4:30, a video game trailer opening at 5 p.m, Vic Vaughan & Souled Out at 6:30 p.m. with the Mark Chapman Band to follow at 8 p.m. All rides will close at 9 p.m. and the National Anthem will be sung at 9:30 with fireworks to follow by the Riverside Fireworks. 
Wristbands are required in order to ride the rides at the event. Wristbands are $10 in advance and $15 after July 2. Some rides may include: mechanical spider, rock climbing wall, laser tag, ferris wheel, the video game trailer and many more. This event will be held at the City of Monett’s South Park.
