“We are pleased to announce that Habitat for Humanity of South Barry County has partnered with Cassville Boy Scout Troop #76 on a recycling project,” Habitat President David Herman said.
“We had a lot of scraps in the back of our ReStore that needed taken out and recycled, but we didn’t have the manpower to do it,” said Habitat for Humanity Vice President, Tabetha Smith. “We contacted Merle Rogers, with Cassville Boy Scout Troop #76 and asked him if the scouts would like to come take the metal and aluminum for recycling if we let them keep the proceeds. They were more than happy to do so. It worked out really well for both of us.
“We love being able to help the community; that’s what we’re here for,” she added.
