It takes a village

The storms that moved through the area this past weekend have been very traumatic to several residents throughout our county.
I have several friends and family who have been affected by the storms, as I am sure most of you have as well. It breaks my heart to hear the pain in their voices when they talk about their experiences.
I know there are several residents that worked from sun up to sun down on Sunday to help clear roadways, remove debris, and help those in need.
I just want to take a few minutes to commend our local municipalities, police officers, fire fighters, EMS, 911 dispatchers, emergency management, our electricity providers, as well as the crews that have come to assist them in the restoration, and the many volunteers, churches, and businesses who opened their doors to help those affected.
It is in times like these where we find the strength to give all of ourselves for the betterment of all of us.
I know this will take our residents that have been hit the hardest months to overcome these setbacks and I hope each of us continue to do what we can to lift each other up and help where we can.
