Kids reel in fun at 
Roaring River Fishing Day

Roaring River State Park held Kids Free Fishing Day last Saturday. See photos from the fun-filled day below.

Kylar Hodge, 13, of St. James, caught the top lunker of the day at Roaring River State Park at 6.70 pounds.  Kylar is shown above with his limit stringer and dad, Justin Hodge. Justin said this is the second Kids Fishing Day they have attended at Roaring River State Park. Though they live within 10 minutes of Bennett Springs State Park, they travel hours to enjoy Roaring River and think it is by far the best Kids Fishing Day event in the state.

Bentley Henson, 9, of Joplin, caught the second largest rainbow trout of the day, weighing in at a whopping 6.60 pounds. His total stringer weight for the day was 14.65 pounds. To view more photos of the event, visit www.4bcaonline.com.
