“Shop Local” at Washburn Holiday Bazaar
November 10, 2021

Stock up for Christmas at the Holiday Bazaar this Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Washburn. With over 40 vendors, it’s sure to be a vital stop for those seeking local homemade Christmas decorations and gifts. The bazaar will have everything from “jewelery, to fragrances, to home decor, signs, decorations, Christmas ornaments, gift items, and much more,” says organizer Diana Vigil.
Since 2020, Vigil has been working closely with Jim Irwin, pastor of First Baptist Church, with plans to hold the Bazaar this time last year. That event was unfortunately postponed due to COVID-19 precautions. Vigil and her husband Benny have been involved in vendor events for many years, attending them abroad, as well as hosting past events in Seligman.
Vigil hopes to turn the bazaar into a three-time-a-year event-chain: craft fairs in the spring and fall, and the Holiday Bazaar in November.
The event will have concession stands provided by the First Baptist Youth Group. The food will begin with light breakfast items and transition into lunch items as the day progresses into afternoon.
The Holiday Bazaar will be held in the Activity Center at First Baptist Church, 618 N. 2nd St, Washburn, Saturday, November 13, at 10 a.m.
