Dear Editor,
HELP! We are asking people who really want the Jenkins Bridge saved to please make a call.
Senator Mike Moon in Mo. District 29 has worked tirelessly to push for funding from the state of Missouri for the Jenkins Bridge Restoration Project to enable the development of the existing bridge into a pedestrian walkway.
It is our understanding that the funding measure has passed through the process and is now awaiting the governor's signature. It is imperative right now to make our voices heard in support of this funding measure.
We are asking that anyone interested in preserving the Jenkins Bridge call Governor Mike Parson's office now at 573-751-3222. Prompt #2 will reach an actual person in his office who will take the call of support.
Denise Prisk,
Jenkins
