Local salon styles clients with many services

Sunshine Tanning and More is a salon that has it all, according to owner Amanda Ross.
Amanda and her husband, David, started the business seven months ago. Ross has always wanted to own a tanning salon, and when the opportunity came along, they took a leap of faith and dove right into it. Nails, hair, eyelash extensions, cosmetic tattooing, pedicures, foot detox, waxing, tanning, spray tanning and massages are just some of the many services offered at Sunshine. They also provide multiple packages and monthly memberships to choose from. They offer a full salon experience to customers as well as retail items by local businesses. Sunshine Tanning and More has decor from CS Designs Decor and More, boutique items from Diva Bling, and paintings from Pisces Moon Abstracts for sale inside the salon as well, making it a prime spot to support multiple local business owners.
So far it has been a very rewarding experience for both Amanda and David. The salon has grown a lot over the last few months after moving to a bigger building and adding more services. Amanda is currently going to college to get her cosmetology and esthetician's license. “Making people feel good about themselves is the best part about owning a salon,” said Ross.
Sunshine Tanning and More has a lot to offer clients in one salon. “Everyone that works here loves what they do and really cares for the customers that come to the salon on a daily basis,” she added.
After moving to the new location, they decided to look for two hair stylists. They found two they thought would be a perfect fit to their salon family. Carrie Randles, cosmetologist at the salon, said, “I love working here. I get to make my own hours and spend more time with my family.” The other cosmetologist, Adrian Reed, said, "We offer different kinds services for your hair than other local hair salons in our area do. For example, we offer Cezanne treatment, which helps knock out frizzy curl and makes it more manageable."
Nicole Patton, manager, nail technician and esthetician at Sunshine, said, “Making people happy and building relationships with clients is one of the most beneficial parts about my job.” Sunshine Tanning and More currently has three nail technicians: Nicole Patton, Yedid Aldaba and Claudia Longley; and two cosmetologists, Adrian Reed and Carrie Randles; and one massage therapist, Diana Cossairt.
“Family is everything to us and to us; we are all one big family,” Amanda said.
Sunshine Tanning and More is located at 101 Main Street, next to Donut Co. in Cassville. They are open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
