The Barry County Health Department has reported 24 cases of COVID-19 in Barry County. As a part of our
ongoing disease investigations, we have identified locations recently-identified COVID-19 positive persons
visited. Those individuals are in isolation and are monitored daily by the Barry County Health Department.
The Barry County Health Department is notifying the public of these potential exposures from a COVID-19
positive individual.
A recent positive case visited:
• MO Wings in Monett, June 10, from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• Walmart in Cassville, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; a mask was worn and the person had no
symptoms.
People visiting these locations on these dates, who did not have close contact, are at low risk of contracting
COVID-19, but should monitor for symptoms.
COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough, shortness of breath or at least two of the following: fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
Symptoms may begin two days to two weeks after exposure.
There is no need for self-quarantine or isolation unless symptoms develop. Anyone who develops symptoms
should call their primary care provider or the Barry County Health Department at 417-847-2114.
“With additional testing we expect to see additional cases, which is evidence that COVID-19 continues to be present in the community and all people should take precautions," Barry County Health Department Administrator, Roger Brock, said. "When you go out, practice physical distancing, wear a cloth face covering, and wash your hands often."
