$32 million in Missouri sales

According to statistics from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), $32,354,508 of medical marijuana have been sold in Missouri during the six month period beginning October 16, 2020, through April 16.
Over 120 businesses, to date, have been approved to cultivate, manufacture, test and dispense the herb in Missouri.
Eighty of the approved businesses are dispensaries: the point of retail purchase for medical marijuana patients.
According to a Missouri Cannabis Trade Association press release, more than 95,000 patients and caregivers statewide have received their state-approved medical cannabis cards, with thousands more applications pending.
In Barry County, DHSS statistics show that between 501 and 1,000 patient licenses had been granted as of January 31 of this year.
Medical cannabis sales in Missouri include a four percent sales tax dedicated to the health and care of military veterans.
