New chiropractic clinic opens in Cassville
April 1, 2015
Rachael Freeman Main Street in Cassville is now home to a new chiropractor. Johnson Chiropractic Sports and Wellness Clinic opened their doors on March 2 at 97 Main Street, across from BBQ Station. Dr. Douglas “Chad” Johnson grew up in Fulton where he graduated high school in 2005. Upon graduation, Dr. Johnson traveled north to spend his next four years at Central Methodist University in Fayette. While at CMU, he was a member of the track team, and competed in Nationals in hurdles. With a love for sports, he knew he wanted a career in athletic wellness and majored in Athletic Training. He spent countless hours assisting athletes on the track, football field and even on the basketball court. He graduated from Central Methodist in 2009, and then decided to pursue the Chiropractic field. He graduated in December 2014 from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Overland Park, Kansas. He has dedicated himself to wellness and helping promote wellness in others. Making the decision to open his practice in Cassville was an easy one. Since 2006, Johnson has spent many summers at Table Rock Lake and ventured into Cassville and the surrounding communities. “The scenery of southwest Missouri is breathtaking. I’ve enjoyed every minute I’ve spent at Table Rock Lake and getting to know the people of Barry County. “It wasn’t hard to leave the Kansas City area for Cassville. This is the kind of atmosphere I want to call home.” Johnson’s clinic focuses on: neck pain, shoulder pain, hip/knee pain, low back pain, recovery from auto accidents, and soft tissue therapy. Johnson also has a desire for athletes to perform at optimal wellness. With a background in athletic training, Johnson also focuses on not only helping athletes with injuries but keeping them ahead of the game with preventive measures. Johnson Chiropractic will hold a week-long grand opening celebration April 6 through 10. During that week, Johnson will run a special on an initial exam and adjustments for new patients. He will conclude on Friday with a Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting event at 11:00 a.m. in conjunction with Cassville’s spring sidewalk sales. Johnson Chiropractic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and closed from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for lunch.
