New Fire Chief Named in Exeter

The Exeter Fire Protection District announced that Donnie Chadd, of Exeter, will fill the position of Exeter Fire Chief after the passing of long-time chief, Jimmie Matthew, on December 4.
Matthew had served the district since 1967, with over 15 years spent as chief.
Chadd expresses the desire to “help where I can.”
Chad has been with Exeter Fire Protection District for 35 years, and has served as Assistant Fire Chief for the last 17.
As Fire Chief, Chadd is ready to “focus on more training, to keep guys fit and ready to go.”
