The Ozark Festival Orchestra will hold its “Hello Christmas” concert on Sunday, December 3, at 3 p.m. at the Monett High School Performing Arts Center at 1 David Sippy Drive.
A unique feature in this year’s presentation will be dancers from the Midwest Regional Ballet Performing Arts Company and School in Joplin, performing three selections from Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker.”
This year’s Christmas concert will also include holiday selections from Leroy Anderson, arrangements from “Carol of the Bells,” and other seasonal favorites.
There will also be a visit from Santa Claus, a sing-a-long, and a chance for children to have their photos taken with Santa.
Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for senior citizens, and children 18 and under are free.
The OFO, a not-for-profit ensemble based in Monett, has been making music since 1980 and will have 53 players in this concert, of which 15 are from Barry and Lawrence counties, under music director Carla Wootton.
