Philbrick retires after 56 years

Dan Philbrick retired from the National Resource and Conservation Service (NRCS). Dan spent a lifetime being a government servant. Before working for the USDA, Dan served in the United States Armed Forces. In 1967, he started working for the agency in Shelbyville, and after serving 20 years, he relocated to Cassville to work for the NRCS office in Barry County. Dan retired from the agency in 2007, then decided to return to work, and has now worked for the agency for over 56 years.
Dan’s last day at the USDA was November 16, 2023. For many years, Dan was an active member in the community with the Sons of the American Revolution, 1812 Society, Scottish Knights Templar, Butler Lodge #254 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons (AF AM), Pythagoras Lodge #383 AF and AM.
Throughout the years, Dan has been an essential and smiling member of the Barry County USDA team. We want to thank Dan for so many years of service. Congratulations on your retirement, Dan!
