An unlikely crash gave staff at Roark Family Health quite the scare last week when a truck crashed into the building while in reverse on Tuesday, December 31. According to Detective Danny Boyd with the Cassville Police Department, the driver drove in reverse across 11th Street and onto Main Street before hitting the building.
Boyd reported a 2016 Dodge Ram was backing up from a parking space when the driver's foot got stuck between the brake and gas pedal. The truck travelled backward across 11th Street, onto Main Street, and eventually went up the grassy embankment of Roark Family health and struck the southwest corner of the building.
The driver was not injured in the incident nor were any staff or patients at Roark Family Health despite Dr. Hannam being in his office on the southwest corner of the building at the time of the crash.
