Purdy crowns Miss, Mr. Merry Christmas

The Purdy R-II School District crowned junior Clay Henderson and senior Shelby Haskins as 2019 Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas at a special coronation ceremony between basketball games on Friday, December 13, rounding out a fun-filled Winter Wonderland Week of activities planned by the Purdy High School Student Council, including themed dress-up days such as flannels and fuzzy socks, crazy sweaters, pajamas and favorite Christmas character. Student Council also hosted the annual Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas assembly, which featured games, student and staff shout-outs and special performances by the Purdy High School Cheerleaders and the newly formed Purdy High School Dance Team on Friday afternoon and a Winter Wonderland Dance for high school students to wrap up the festive evening.
