Purdy High School students to present Little Women

Louisa May Alcott’s beloved Little Women will come to life on the Purdy High School stage, in the district’s annual fall musical. Performances will be held in the Purdy Performing Arts Center on Friday, November 5, and Saturday, November 6, at 7 p.m. each evening. Tickets are $5 each and may be purchased at the door.
Purdy High School musical veteran, Senior M’kena Propps, who plays the creative, daring and outspoken Jo March, notes of the upcoming performance, “Little Women is a joy of a show! It is lighthearted, highly entertaining and family friendly, and we can’t wait to perform it for our audiences!” On a personal note, Propps added, “I can’t believe this is my last musical at Purdy High School. I feel like there should be at least three more ahead of me, but this is it. I’m definitely going to savor every moment."
Purdy’s Little Women cast performs under the direction of Mrs. Lauren Lee, who encourages everyone to attend and enjoy the show. “Little Women is such a moving and entertaining story of family, faith and perseverance. Our cast has worked so hard to provide a presentation of Louisa May Alcott’s work that will surely make her proud. Please bring your family and join us in this celebration of the ties that bind, but also give wings to dreams.”
