Shell Knob woman, passenger injured in slide off crash

A 39 year old woman from Shell Knob was left in serious condition after a slide off crash outside of Cassville on Wednesday morning, January 22. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Rebecca A. Boyd, of Shell Knob, was driving on MO 76 about eight miles east of Cassville when the crash occurred.
The report states Boyd was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe eastbound when it slid off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree around 7:20 a.m. Boyd was westbound at the time of the crash.
Boyd was seriously injured in the crash. A 16 year old female passenger, not identified in the crash report, suffered minor injuries.
Both Boyd and the passenger were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield via Mercy ambulance. Neither was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The Tahoe was totalled and towed from the scene by Brice's Towing, of Cassville.
