Silver Leaf Benefit Club supports child abuse awareness
June 5, 2019
Each year, 400,000 children are sexually, mentally, or physically abused. The local General Federation of Women’s Clubs’ Silver Leaf Benefit Club partnered with Prevent Child Abuse America and affiliate Missouri KidsFirst to promote ending child abuse. April was Prevent Child Abuse month. One hundred Pinwheels were planted by GFWC Silver Leaf Benefit Club on the Cassville City Hall’s lawn. The pinwheels symbolize childlike notions and their whimsical nature. There is nothing more important in life than protecting children. Chief Dana Kammerlohr also attended the event.
General Federation Women’s Clubs is an international volunteer women’s group who work to make their communities and the lives of others better: gfwc.org.
