SKITS to hold Spring Play this Weekend
April 17, 2024
From SKITS
Come for the laughs...stay for the action! Romance! Alien abduction! And…nuns?
A combination like no other will take the stage in Shell Knob April 19-21 as our wacky cast of characters, including (but not limited to) six of the craziest nuns you have ever met; a terribly timid tailor; half-man, half-frog, half-nun…or is that too many halves? Regardless, there is a 150% chance of surprises, laughs and good times all around.
Our story follows the flight of the ravishingly lovely Lady Emma Chalfont as she flees the fiendish advances of the terribly evil Sir Cutbert Cleaver. Chased from her home to avoid a marriage to a man she does not love, Lady Emma finds herself embroiled in the plots and plans of the Little Sisters of St. Meade. Will their plans to save the abbey cost Lady Emma her freedom? Will Sir Cleaver learn her whereabouts and force her into a life she does not wish for? Will the aliens that abducted Mother Margereta last Friday PLEASE return her to normal??
It seems that Lady Emma’s fate is held in the extremely unskilled hands of the worst tailor in the kingdom, possibly the world. Despite his sartorial shortcomings and sharp-tongued sister, Norman is determined to show everyone that the measure of a man is not equal to the length of his sleeves.
Come see how it unfolds April 19th and 20th at 6:30pm and April 21st for the 2:00pm matinee at Central Community United Methodist Church in Shell Knob. Tickets are available at skitsmo.com for $12 or $15 at the door. Children 12 and under are free.
