Southwest boys, Cassville girls cross country winners at Monett Invitational

Both the Southwest boys and Cassville girls emerged as winners at the 41st Annual Monett Invitational at Monett’s South Park on Tuesday. Travis Sickles led the Trojans, winning the Class 1-2 boys race, and all five Southwest scorers finished in the top 10 for a winning score of 21.
Jordyn Stafford paced the Cassville girls to consecutive meet victories, taking 4th place in the large school girls race. The Ladycats placed three runners in the top 7 positions and edged Aurora for the team title, 44-46.
The Cassville boys, led by Pace Evans with his 8th place finish, placed 5th in the team rankings, scoring 107.
