Taco Tuesday fundraiser slated for March 17

March 11, 2020
Caden Swearingen

The Soroptimist Club of Barry County will hold their annual Taco Tuesday fundraiser on Tuesday, March 17.

The Soroptimist Club is an organization that provides women and girls access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. “In the global part of the organization, they focus on women and girls. In our local chapters, we focus on women and children,” said Soroptimist member Chelsi Arnold. She added, “Dreams in Action are the grants for not-for-profits. We adopt families for Christmas and provide presents for the kids as well as some household necessities.” They also have multiple scholarships for local schools.

The Soroptimist Club will hold the Taco Tuesday fundraiser at the Cassville Methodist Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal will consist of chicken or beef tacos, beans, rice, chips, salsa and dessert. The meal cost is $7. Dine in or carry out options will be available to all attendees.

For additional information, contact Chelsi Arnold at carnold@sbswmo.com.
