Two boat crash injures two on TRL in Eagle Rock
Washburn man lifeflighted for serious injuries

A Washburn man was lifeflighted after two boats collided by Eagle Rock Marina over the weekend. According to the Missouri State Water Patrol boating incident report, one boat struck another in the left rear, leaving two with injuries.
On Saturday, July 13, a 2000 Stratos, driven by Rebecca J. Burt, 60, of Eureka Springs, Ark., was southbound on Table Rock Lake by Eagle Rock Marina. The Stratos struck a second vessel, a 2000 Javelin, driven by Daryl D. Ickes, 47, of Washburn, also headed south around 9 p.m.
Two people on the 2000 Javelin suffered injuries in the collision. Joseph A. Crain, 27, of Washburn, sustained serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Ickes suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, as well.
There were no reported injuries on the other boat.
It is unknown if any of the parties on the boats were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.
The Javelin sustained moderate damage, and the Stratos sustained minor damage. Both boats were removed by the owners following the crash.
According to additional information released by the Eagle Rock Golden Mano Fire Department, they responded with a fire engine, a medical unit and two first responders went directly to the scene. Mutual aid and assistance was provided by Mercy EMS, Mercy Lifeline, the Barry County Sheriff's Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Missouri State Water Patrol, the Missouri Park Rangers and coordination by Barry County E9-1-1
