Two injured in Monett Hwy. 60 crash

A crash outside of Monett left two people injured over the weekend. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, one vehicle pulled into the path of another and was hit around 9:25 p.m. on Highway 60 about a mile east of Monett on Sunday, May 19.
A 2009 Kia Spectra, driven by Sandra Campos Llanos, 22, of Monett, pulled out in front of a second vehicle, a 2015 Ford Edge, driven by Sharen L. McNeill, 60, of Purdy, and was hit. The Spectra was headed eastbound and the Edge was headed westbound.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Campos Llanos was seriously injured and taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment. McNeill suffered minor injuries and was taken to Cox Hospital in Monett by a private vehicle.
Both the Spectra and Edge were totalled and towed from the scene by Thomas Towing, of Monett.
