Verona man seriously injured in Purdy wreck

A Verona man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle wreck on Sunday.
Gabriel Gonzalez, 62, was driving east on Route C five miles east of Purdy on Sunday, June 28, around 1:50 a.m., according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. Gonalez failed to navigate a curve in a 2002 GMC Envoy and ran off the right side of the roadway, striking several trees. The Envoy was totalled and Gonzalez received serious injuries. He was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
Gonzalez was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
