WHEATON:
Wheaton will hold its annual Christmas parade Saturday, December 12, beginning at 6 p.m.
According to Wheaton city court clerk, Mindi Peckham, entrants will gather in the Body of Christ parking lot, proceed north on Highway 86, then west on Main Street. The parade will disband at the school.
Peckham says Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for photo opportunities at 4:30 p.m. at the community center, prior to the parade.
After the parade, the Wheaton FFA chapter will serve cookies and hot chocolate in the city park.
Winners of the Christmas lighting contest will also be announced at that time. A panel of judges will tour the town on Friday evening, December 11 to vote for their favorites.
First, second and third place winners will receive a gift card.
PURDY:
The Purdy Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, December 19th, at 10:00 a.m.
Parade participants are asked to line up in the Purdy High School parking lot between 9 and 9:30 a.m. The route will follow Highway C, from the school to Country Corner.
