Wildcats earn All State medals

The Cassville Wildcats and Ladycats enjoyed a successful day at the Class 3 state track meet at Jefferson City. Cassville athletes earned medals in three individual events to cap off the 2021 season.
Kyren Postlewait led the Cassville contingent, placing fourth in the shot with a throw of 11.95 meters.
Bradan Dickinson medalled in the boys shot, taking fifth place with a throw of 14.39 meters.
David Oliphant scored Cassville’s only points in the running events, finishing seventh in the 100 meter dash in 11.32.
It was tough sledding for the others.
Peter Littlefield cleared 1.80 meters in the high jump, but finished 11th. Riley Morris was 13th in the girls discus, throwing 29.52 meters.
Hannah Hackler was 14th in the girls 200 meter dash in 27.99.
Both the girls 4x100 and 4x200 meter relay teams finished 14th.
The 4x800 meter quartet of Marianne McCrackin, Jolie Evans, Tori Mitchell, and Annie Moore sped to a 10:31.95 performance, but finished in that dreaded ninth position, one spot away from medals.
