Man in custody for alleged sex crime against three-year old

A Springfield man is in custody in the Barry County Jail after admitting to molesting a three-year old girl earlier in June.
Sebastian Moreno, 18, as interviewed about the event on June 11 at the Monett Justice Center after the event had been reported, according to an affidavit of probable cause. Detective George Daoud, with the Monett Police Department, filled out the probable cause that said that Moreno had touched the girl inappropriately with his hand. She came out crying about what had occurred, according to the paperwork filed with the Barry County courts.
Moreno was charged with felony statutory sodomy in the first degree. He is currently being held in the Barry County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 cash-only bond.
